WINTER SKIN RESCUE

WINTER SKIN RESCUE

It’s no secret, Winter air wreaks havoc on our skin & I’m forever on the hunt for miracle products. Here are my current favs that have been true winners- some I have newly added to my skin care routine and some that have been go-tos for a long time.

GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD- Hydrating Treatment | Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream | Arbonne Make-up Primer | Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (Rosé) | St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse | Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub | Lancôme Tonique Douceur | Dermalogica Thermafoliant

A couple years ago, I discovered an amazing facial in the most unsuspecting place- my eyebrow salon. Browmance (my go to always for threading) offers an Oxygen facial bar for a quick service, or a full 75 minute oxygen facial with the works in their treatment room. The treatment is incredible with the detoxifying properties of the oxygen and benefits of a full facial, but what has stayed with me even longer was the skincare advice I received. My facialist confirmed what I always suspected and now keep as rule #1 of skincare- moisture is absolutely key & it starts from the inside out. You can never underestimate what H2O, a full night’s sleep and proper nutrition will do. I used to believe moisture would cause break-outs and so I used drying soaps and over exfoliated, not realizing that this was most likely working against me. I am now an over-moisturizer! You can see from my list of products that this is true. As a 20-something year old, I know this will help keep my skin looking young and vibrant (hopefully!)

This Winter I’ve started experimenting with creating my own body products by combining all natural/ raw ingredients I order from a local distributor. They are easy and cost effective to make yourself and often work the best to moisturize and condition your skin. I will be sharing some of these personal recipes in future posts so stayed tuned!

What are your Winter beauty tips?  I’d love to hear!
