WHY YOU NEED HYALURONIC ACID IN YOUR SKIN CARE ROUTINE…

As of late, hyaluronic acid has been a buzz word in the world of beauty, and for good reason. Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like substance found naturally in the body between skin cells, providing hydration and giving skin that plump, youthful look.

As we age, our bodies naturally produce less, leading to the multitude of products popping up containing this ingredient- creams, oral tablets, even many dermal fillers contain HA!

I recently added this Hylamide hyaluronic acid product (link here) by The Abnormal Beauty Company to my skin care regimen, after learning why this simple ingredient can make a huge difference in reducing the signs of aging. I have become a huge fan of Deciem (The Abnormal Beauty Company) and this product is no exception. Marketed as it is, just the pure ingredient and at a great price point, it was just a few days before I found a noticeable difference in my skin. This lightweight gel comes in a dropper bottle for easy application, and a little goes a long way. I apply to my face and neck in the day time and night before moisturizing. This particular HA product (this company has a few) contains very low molecular HA, which is important to look for when choosing a cream or topical gel. The smaller the molecule, the deeper it will be able to penetrate the skin. It’s also worth mentioning that there are various types of hyaluronic acid that penetrate different levels of the skin. This particular product contains 5 and are listed on it’s packaging for reference.

HA is a must to include in an anti-aging skin care routine for a couple reasons. Hydration is so important for skin to appear healthy. Properly hydrated skin reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps maintain a youthful texture. Hyaluronic Acid is like a hydration magnet in the skin, holding up to 500 times it’s own weight in water. Also, HA is considered a building block in our skin along with collagen and elastin. These two other components rely on hyaluronic acid for moisture and work together to keep skin youthful and full looking.

If you’re looking for a simple (and affordable) way to up your skin care regimen, give this product a try, you won’t be disappointed!
