BODY BLITZ REVIEW

BODY BLITZ REVIEW

Last week, in the middle of downtown craziness, I found a sanctuary I need to let you guys (girls only actually) in on!From beginning to end, my experience at Body Blitz was a five star experience. I have had my fair share of massages and been to a number of spas, but haven’t always found massage quality and spa quality correlate. Can anyone else relate? That is why I am so excited to share this hidden gem.

Body Blitz is located on Adelaide West, between Bathurst and Spadina but have an East end location as well. This is a woman only spa and clothing optional, immediately setting the tone for a safe and open environment. Before your treatment, you’re invited to enjoy the water therapy circuit- a series of hot and cold pools, as well as an infrared sauna and aromatherapy steam room. In Scandinavian culture, similar water circuits are commonly used and known to have extensive health benefits like stress reduction, the release of toxins through the skin, muscle relaxation and improved circulation. Make sure to take full advantage before any body treatment, to relax your body and your mind.

Body Blitz’s spa menu includes several types of massage and body treatments. During my visit, I indulged in a 60 minute therapeutic massage after completing the water circuit (about 1.5 hours.) The treatment rooms themselves are situated well away from the water and change rooms and are completely silent. This is something that’s been hard to find for me, even at the more exclusive spas, and makes such a difference! The privacy of the treatment rooms at this location is a main factor of why I so highly recommend this spa. Shower and change rooms are spotless and equipped with with shampoo, conditioner, and hair tools and products in the well lit vanity room. The water circuit feels like more of place to hang with your girlfriends than a stuffy spa. With the exception of the sauna and steam room, you’re invited to chat and sip on a fresh juice or tea, delivered to the pool from the in-house juice bar.
