This Spring, Charlotte Tilbury released a new lipstick trio inspired by the royals. So appropriate, considering Charlotte herself is really the current Queen of make-up. There’s something about her maintaining a classic makeup brand, in an industry full of passing trends, that is so appealing. You can count on her colour range to be flattering and grown up, her packaging classic and formulas amazing. She proves style and substance can go together.
I mixed two/three of Charlotte’s Royal Lipstick Trio to create this lip colour. I first applied “The Queen”- a bright and bold medium pink with “The Duchess”- a pretty pale pink on top to tone and make more neutral. The formulas blend together perfectly, with The Queen being a matte and The Duchess having a moisturizing formula, to create just the right amount of shine.
Perfectly described by their names, the three colours in the trio are all classics in the spectrum of pink-red. “Legendary Queen” and “The Queen” thoughtfully come in Charlotte’s iconic Matte Revolution formula and make an impact without being too bold. I can picture myself wearing Legendary Queen to night time weddings even through the Summer months. The Duchess has been a daily go-to because of it’s moisturizing formula and neutral enough to be workplace appropriate and I can’t wait to wear The Queen with my favourite Summer accessory- a tan!
